Part Used: Herb. The fresh herb liquid extract is a good form in which to use this herb, as it loses it’s properties after it has been dried a while. Shepherd’s purse is valued for its relief of blood congestion on one hand, and bleeding on the other. Used for bleeding in general, internal and external (has vitamin K). Blood or mucous in urine; urinary stones. . Uterine bleeding in general; heavy menses. Uterine fibroids. Post-partum bleeding. Vaginal discharge. Hemmorhoids. Varicose veins. Diarrhea, mucous colitis. An aid in regulating blood pressure.
