Oregon Grape
Berberis aquafolium
Part used: Root. Oregon Grape Root is used as a liver tonic with an affinity for skin conditions. Liver congestion, hepatitis. Indigestion with poor fat or protein assimilation. Dry, scaly skin eruptions (incl. with food allergies). Eczema, dandruff, psoriasis, dermatitis, acne. While having some of the chemical properties of Golden Seal, it is not as strong for infection, but well-suited to intestinal infections.
