Part Used: Herb. Motherwort is used for its heart tonic, nerve calming and female tonic properties. Heart palpitation, angina, weak heart. Cardiac edema. Hyperthyroid symptoms (with Bugleweed). Amenorrhea, PMS with tension and irritability, painful periods. Difficult labor. Postpartum bleeding and pain. Menopausal nervous symptoms. Heart tonic in menopause. Weak kidneys with edema.
