Part Used: Seed. Milk thistle, which has long been used for them liver, has been shown to have liver regenerating properties. Also shown to protect liver cells from toxins (both organic and synthetic). Acute and chronic hepatitis. Liver cirrhosis. Liver congestion. An aid in portal congestion and blood congestion in general. Varicose veins. Menstrual and pelvic conditions with blood congestion, poor venous flow. Dandelion Root is perhaps more suited for long-term use for those without known liver impairment.
