Golden Seal
Hydrastis canadensis
Part Used: Root. Golden Seal is not suited to long-term use, except in smaller doses and with breaks in use. Otherwise used for many types of bacterial infections of the lungs, throat, ears, eyes, sinuses, lungs, urinary and intestinal tracts. Also parasitical, fungal and amoebic infections. Chronic mucous discharge. Smaller doses used to stimulate the liver and bile. Constipation. Chronic weak digestion. Stomach ulcers, gastritis. Douche used in cervical erosion, vaginal infections. Uterine fibroids, hard tumors of reproductive organs and breasts. Promotes venous circulation. Skin and eye inflammations (ext.)
