Larrea tridentata
Part Used: Leaf.
Chaparral is a bitter, cooling and stimulating herb that is used to clear “toxic heat”. Stimulates congested liver; de-toxifier in chronic arthritis, chronic skin conditions and tumors. In acute infections is used for its anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties both internally and externally. Aids in digestion of proteins and fats.
A folk remedy for benign and malignant tumors, and cancers of the skin, stomach, liver, kidneys. Contra-indicated in ‘cold” conditions of the digestive tract. Generally used as part of a formula; breaks are taken after 2 weeks of use, and contra-indicated for those with liver impairment.
