Part Used: Root. An astringent herb with tonic properties. Chronic diarrhea, dysentery. Passive bleeding: blood in urine or stool, from nose or mouth, copious menstrual bleeding. Vaginitis (int. and ext.). Stomach ulcers with hyperacidity. External application for wounds, ulcers, bleeding.
