Dear Bob Liebert,
I am 52 years old and perimenopausal. I have heavy periods every month,
it is so bad that I don't socialize during this time because I practically
live in the bathroom. I heard about Lady's Mantle and I wonder if this
would help me.
Thanks, Deb
Dear Friend,
The Lady's Mantle would
be a good one to use on a daily basis, having hormonal balancing and
uterine tonic properties, as well as an astringent for bleeding. Beginning
a week before the period, I would suggest using the extracts of SHEPHERD'S
PURSE and WITCH HAZEL
(Yarrow can also be used); and
continued through the menstrual period; increasing amount and frequency
of doses if needed, then discontinued until a week before the next cycle.
Yours in healing,
Bob Liebert, herbalist
