Dear Bob Liebert,
After having my first child I started seeing waves or spots in my
eyes that would last about 15 minutes, then I would get such a migraine
when it passes. I found out that it is called Migraine Aura. Is there
any herbs that would help stop this Migraine? I think it has alot to
do with my ovary. I get sore ovaries at least 3 times a month, but the
doctor thinks my ovaries are fine. I know my ovaries are inflammed but
what could I do about it?
Ronnie
Dear Friend,
I would suggest my HEADACHE/MIGRAINE
Formula (Betony, Vervain, Skullcap, Meadowsweet, Rosemary). It can be
taken as soon as "aura" or other signs are felt, and then
several doses to ward off headache; also may be taken several days in
a row as a preventative. This formula has traditional herbs with nervine,
liver tonic and pain-relieveing properties.
It is likely that hormonal fluctuations could be a large factor in the
migraines. The liquid extract of BLACK
COHOSH has traditionally been used for ovarian pain and for
migraines associated with uterine problems in general. Take for ovarian
pain, and also add to HEADACHE Formula (in smaller doses) for
headache.
Yours in healing,
Bob Liebert, herbalist
