Dear Bob Liebert,
My son who is only 17 months has chronic sinus problems; we have seen
a EAR NOSE & TROAT DR, who has said that he needs his adenoids removed.
We are a little scared because of putting him under w/ anesthesia and
so on. Is there a herbal possibility for a child his age? Thank you
,
kelly
Dear Friend,
Herbs would be a good first bet. I would suggest a child's dose of
Echinacea extract (immune
booster, lymph purifier, the adenoids being lymph tissue) and Elder
Flower (to clear sinuses, gentle cleanser). These would be a
good start; there are other herbs you can add, like Plantain
if mucous is severe; Eyebright
and Nettles. All are suitable
in small doses for children for sinus.
Yours in healing,
Bob Liebert, herbalist
