Dear Bob Liebert,
I am not familiar with herbs, my mom uses echinacea for a fever reducer.
In respecting her wishes to medicate herself I have NO idea how much
to give her or how often when she has a sudden fever in regards to pulmonary
hemociderosis and vasculitis.
Why a tea versus a powder to measure out and how often. How long does
this herb take to reduce a fever once in the system?
I can refer to so many miligrams of Tylenol or an aspirin every 4 to
6 hours, but I have no idea how to use this herb and what its properties
are.

Dear Friend,
A couple of questions: Does your mother truly feel that the Echinacea
brings down the fever and aids with pain and symptoms? Echinacea can
deal with certain types of fever, especially when due to infection.
If you can give a little more info on your mother's health history,
I can also recommend another herb or two that may be even more effective.
For acute symptoms, Echinacea in tea form or the liquid
extracts (that is what we carry, and believe to be the most
effective); in the liquid form will be more effective more quickly,
as the herbs go right into the bloodstream instaed of having to go through
digestion as with capsules.
Yours in healing,
Bob Liebert, herbalist
