Dear Bob Liebert,
I have an eight month old baby who we think is teething, as she has
no teeth. She is restless and gets frantic at night and does not drop
off until 11:00 then she wakes every two hours until 5:30 when she is
wide awake. Not much fun when we both work full time and I am 6 months
pregnant. We also have not been able to get her on solids properly as
she was on soya milk through lactose intolerance until she was five
months old. She barely feeds during the day but seems to take more in
the evening and at night. For the past few days she has been vomiting
violently in the late evening - sleep feed, but seems to be ok afterwards
and the rest of the night and day. I think it stems from overtiredness
and the teething, can you suggest something which may help with the
sickness and insomnia and also bearing in mind she is fussy about food!
Also we cannot give her pain killers for the teething as she sicks it
all back up. Thank you
cathy
Dear Friend,
Our CHILD-SOOTHE Formula
would be ideal, with herbs for teething pain and restlessness as well
as digestive problems (Ingredients: Catnip, Chamomile, Melissa, Elder
Flower and Fennel). It can be applied to the gums as well. The best
way to administer for internal use is to place the drops in a spoon
with a few drops more water and place in the baby's mouth with a dropper.
Yours in healing,
Bob Liebert, herbalist
You can buy these herbs and many more in the Formula and Single
Herb sections of the Teeter Creek Herb website. Herbs that don't appear
