Dear Bob Liebert,
Is there any herbal remedy to help a child with hemophilia?
Dorota
Dear Friend,
I would suggest starting with the extracts of Nettles and Plantain.
These are very safe, non-toxic herbs that mildly aid in the control
of spontaneous bleeding, with a tonic effect on the organs of blood-making.
There are other herbs, such as Alum Root and Shepherd's Purse that
may have stronger effects on acute bleeding, due to their tannins
and/or Vitamin K content. The former herbs I mentioned would be better
to start with for longer-term use, and especially if medications are
also being taken.
Yours in healing,
Bob Liebert, herbalist
You can buy these herbs and many more in the Formula and
Single
Herb sections of the Teeter Creek Herb website. Herbs that don't appear in the Formula or Single Herb lists can usually be requested in the "Message" section at the bottom of the order page.
