Dear Bob Liebert,
I have multiple sclerosis, I have done a lot of reading on different
things, I also have tried some things to see what would happen. What
I have tried is grapeseed extract with maritime pine.I also am using
Rutin, vitamin C,CoQ10, and coral calcium supplement, and fish oil
omega-3. My symptoms with my multiple sclerosis were swelling of my
feet and legs I have learned this is called CVI. I also was suffering
terrible fatigue, I have noticed a great improvement in the way I
feel now, I'm wondering what else I should do, I still have imbalance
issues like dizziness and some stiffness in my legs and thighs, I'm
also taking the product MSM. I have noticed the changes with my body
and I can also say I know when I am going to be at my best. After
I have the elimination of bowel it seems my energy level increases
and my stiffness decreases. What else do you recommend I look at.
I am looking at Devils claw, Hawthorne Berry, and bilberry for the
future, I heard that bilberry may be an excellent anti-inflammatory.
Looking for some extra guidance.
Jeffrey
Dear Friend,
It sounds like you are doing a number of beneficial supplements,
and I believe the addition of a few herbs with specific actions can
aid in both symptom relief and general health. I have seen good results
with a formula made up of the following herbs: Avena (Green Oats),
Skullcap, American Ginseng and Rosemary, all as liquid extracts. The
actions of these herbs include a tonic action for re-generation of
nerves, adrenal gland support and anti-spasmodic action on muscles.
For muscle pain and inflammation (and anti-spasmodic action) see our
Inflammaid Formula. The Hawthorn and Bilberry are
not strong anti-inflammatories, but are used long-term for their anti-oxidant
and tissue repair properties.
Yours in healing,
Bob Liebert, herbalist
You can buy these herbs and many more in the Formula and
Single
Herb sections of the Teeter Creek Herb website. Herbs that don't appear in the Formula or Single Herb lists can usually be requested in the "Message" section at the bottom of the order page.
