Ask the Herbalist

Dear Bob Liebert,

I read about your sinease. For more than 2 years my ears have felt blocked up (like they need to be popped) ALL the time. I have sinus pressure, muscous in the back of my throat (no nasal congestion), burning, itching ears and am most concerned about dizziness I have experienced for more than 6 months. All my symptoms have worsened this winter. I live in North Texas. Can sinease help all of these symptoms or could you recommend something additional. I would appreciate your reply.

Thank you,
Elizabeth

Dear Friend,

I have seen the Sinease work very well in draining blocked sinuses that can lead to middle ear problems. Our Ear Oil warmed and placed in the ears will also aid in the burning, itching you describe. A possible addition would be Nettles extract (to aid in lessening allergic response). This would be a good first course; if there are problems with the middle ear itself (as in meniere's disease) causing dizziness, herbs such as Black Cohosh, Horsemint, Jerusalem wormseed are traditional remedies. But the sinus appraoch may very well relieve your symptoms.

Yours in healing,
Bob Liebert, herbalist
