Ask the Herbalist

Dear Bob Liebert,

Is there a herb that really helps overcome vaginal dryness? Thanks!

Signed,

Dear Friend,

For internal use, certain hormone-balancing and tonic herbs have a long history of use, including Chaste Berry, Wild Yam, Black Haw and Motherwort. Good doses of Chickweed liquid extract has a general cooling and moistening effect. For external use, herbs like Plantain and Comfrey are very soothing and healing. Our Herbal Salve has both of these as well as Chickweed that is very good for itching used externally.

Yours in healing,
Bob Liebert, herbalist

You can buy these herbs and many more in the Formula and Single Herb sections of the Teeter Creek Herb website. Herbs that don't appear in the Formula or Single Herb lists can usually be requested in the "Message" section at the bottom of the order page.
