Dear Bob Liebert,
Last year I had back surgery to replace to disks in my lower back.
Everything was going good and then when I started therapy something
went wrong and I began to have severe pain in my back again. The doctors
are telling me that I have Post Laminectomy syndrome. And that there's
not much hope of me getting any better with the pain. Can you recommend
an herbal treatment for this or am I doomed to a life of pain...
Hopeful
Dear Friend,
While herbs are not as powerful as direct pain killers as some drugs,
they can sometimes target certain types of pain and/or improve condition
of the nerves, etc. Some possibilities: our Prickly Ash and St. John's
Wort extracts (spinal pain). These can be alternated with the Nervaid
Formula (or combined), a little experimenting may be needed
to see if any of these herbal pain relievers and nerve tonics can
aid. Solomon Seal extract and St. John's Wort Oil can be alternated
to see if they can aid with pain, as well as in healing traumatized
tissue.
Yours in healing,
Bob Liebert, herbalist
You can buy these herbs and many more in the Formula and
Single
Herb sections of the Teeter Creek Herb website. Herbs that don't appear in the Formula or Single Herb lists can usually be requested in the "Message" section at the bottom of the order page.
