Dear Bob Liebert,
My 4 year old daughter was just diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
Is there any herbs that would help with blood sugar regulation of
(course along with her diet and insulin).or is it not a good thing
to use herbs on someone her age?
Tracy
Dear Friend,
Some of the herbs that would be appropriate for a child to aid in
blood sugar balance and overall health include: Alfalfa, Dandelion,
Fenugreek and Nettles. Depending on the case, and if the child is
already on insulin of some type, the herbs can be an adjunct or primary
treatment. These would be easy to administer in the lquid extract
form; and can be mixed together in proper amounts for daily use. Echinacea
would be good to have on hand to prevent and treat infections.
Thanks,
Bob
You can buy these herbs and many more in the Formula and
Single
Herb sections of the Teeter Creek Herb website. Herbs that don't appear in the Formula or Single Herb lists can usually be requested in the "Message" section at the bottom of the order page.
