Ask the Herbalist

Dear Bob Liebert,

What do we do about a 9 year that has frequent nose bleeds?

Jenell

Dear Friend,

For a child, the regular use of Nettles would be a good preventative by building healthy blood vessels and as a mild herb to promote better coagulation. The Nettles and/or Witch Hazel extract or tea can be soaked into a cotton ball or other means and placed in the nose, while applying a cold compress to the back of the neck.

Thanks,
Bob

You can buy these herbs and many more in the Formula and Single Herb sections of the Teeter Creek Herb website. Herbs that don't appear in the Formula or Single Herb lists can usually be requested in the "Message" section at the bottom of the order page.
