Dear Bob Liebert,
I have had nasal polyp problems for many years with little control
through the use of corticosteroid nasal sprays. Because of this I
have had them surgically removed a few times and no success with years
of allergy injections. I just read several of the your posts about
thuja as well as other thuja information on the web, but didn't see
anything directly related to nasal polyps. Could you please comment
on this herb for nasal polyps in light of thuja is not for long term
use? Does a thuja course of treatment "cure" the underlying
problem?
Thank you,
Brad
Dear Friend,
The nose is one of the commonest sites for polyps. The two traditional
herbal applications are a nasal snuff of Bloodroot and the Thuja.
The Bloodroot is more caustic, and I would try the Thuja first. I
have seen it reduce or eliminate many types of growths. The Thuja
is taken internally (10 to 20 drop doses twice a day) as well. It
is thought to remove the tendency for the body to produce abnormal
cell growths, while acting on them externally. The exztract can be
diluted 2 to 3 times and used as a snuff, or put into a nasal spray
bottle. If diluted 3 times in a spray bottle it may nmot keep more
than a couple of weeks, so don't make up too much at one time. Let
me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Bob
