Dear Bob Liebert,
Hello! I have had swollen tonsils for about the last month. It started
as strep throat and now it just won't go away. I was on ten days of
antibiotics, then off for ten days, then back on another antibiotic
for another ten days. And when I went in for my check-up after the
last dose of antibiotics my doctor informed me that I need to see
an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist to have my tonsils removed because
I really don't want to have this happen. Do you know of any herbs
that are good for the tonsils and will help with decreasing them in
size? Thank you for your time.
Cassandra
Dear Friend,
The best all-around herb for tonsilitis is Echinacea extract (immune-boosting
and lymphatic cleansing); small doses of Thuja extract taken with
the Echinacea will increase the effectiveness. The Echinacea should
be used as a gargle before swallowing. Astringent gargles like Sage
tea will aslo aid.
I highly recommend our extracts for the potency you will need to
avoid surgery.
Thanks,
Bob
You can buy these herbs and many more in the Formula and
Single
Herb sections of the Teeter Creek Herb website. Herbs that don't appear in the Formula or Single Herb lists can usually be requested in the "Message" section at the bottom of the order page.
